CRUCIBEL is a collaboration between Dino Garner and Anabelle Peretti-Storm. This unique partnership combines our experiences. It meets a transcendent future of probabilities. We deal with known facts. And facts awaiting discovery.
Over the course of 2026, we will publish across twenty-seven series spanning more than ninety categories. The ambition is deliberate. The world does not suffer from a shortage of specialists—it suffers from their isolation. CRUCIBEL bridges the gaps.
We move from the elemental composition of matter to the mathematics of pattern. From the forces that make things happen to the technologies that extend human reach. We examine how power moves across borders, how wars are fought in shadow, and how warriors come home. We explore how consciousness works, how bodies thrive and fail, how meaning travels between minds, and how societies decide what is right. We ask how knowledge is transmitted, how value is created, how rules are made—and how giving changes the world.
We write about defense policy and philanthropy, neuroscience and nature, space exploration and the craft of building things with your hands. We review what is worth reading. We tell the stories of lives lived at the extremes. We hold open a door for everything that refuses to fit neatly into a single category. The most important ideas rarely fit into one category.
Volume I, Issues 1–4 features ten articles that delve deeply into subject matter others choose to ignore and forget.
The work takes every form the subject demands—articles, poems, opinion, art, analysis, memoir. No domain is off-limits. No discipline stands alone.
CRUCIBEL is what happens when you refuse to choose between rigor and range.
